I already read that I can't configure the codec for AGK (which is disappointing because AGK sets my min/max quantizers too high/low for my taste), but I was wondering if there's any way to tune the base avs. I'm guessing its not possible directly, but is there any way to configure VDM to auto-run certain filters? There are some filters I like to always use (eg., a light denoise3d saves me a lot of space), but I love the time-saving features of AGK!

While I'm in the forums...
I was also wondering about the cntl-F9 options: for the non-global ones, do I have to set them individually for each job, or if I have a bunch of jobs cued up will it apply for each. Case in point: despite all of the warnings and cautions, I have always loved IVTC, and I apply it to almost all of my DVD rips. When I load up a bunch of them, do I have to press cntl-F9 and check the box every time I load one up and add it to the job queue?

Hi-

For tweaking the .avs, you can use AGKPal or AutoGK Tweaker. Here's a link to AGKGKPal:

I don't know for sure about the non-global CTRL-F9 settings, but I think they'll be applied only for each video for which you've turned them on. The tutorial says:

Most of the options are per-input settings, i.e. you can set up different settings for different movies. However there are a few that are global, so that they affect all encodings done by AutoGK.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that. AutoGK will IVTC anything that needs IVTCing, and won't IVTC anything that doesn't need it. I'd be very careful about forcing an IVTC if I were you.

When you set a non-global option for a job, you'll notice that a 'non-global option' file (e.g. '.sharpmatrix') is created in the source folder (where your input file is located). This option is then applied for all input files in this directory.

If you want to use different 'non-global' options for your jobs, the input files should be in their own folders.
