xvid settings and standalone players

I haven't touch xvid in years so apologies for the ignorance.

Can someone tell me (or a link) for Xvid settings that are compatible with standalone players?

also is it possible to have dual-audio and subtitles on the video? if yes, what audio format and what subtitle format?
