What tool is it that you can open up an XviD file and see what the frame count is for various quantizers. Or is it only a log file you can create when you are doing a encode. I just don't remember.

DRFAnalyzer, probably, which works directly on avis. There are statsreaders, but that's the simplest.

Can you recommend another tool? That one showed everthing as either a 1 or 2 which I know is not right.

If everything's a 1 or 2 and it still looks like crap, maybe it was encoded with Sharktooth's Ultra-low matrix or the h.263 matrix by someone who didn't realize how damaging that is when you have the extra space. It usually doesn't look terrible, just devoid of any detail.

I tried this program but I didn't see any place in it where it would tell me how many frames were quantizer of 3, how many were 4, etc.
