I know this must have been mentioned, but I cannot seem to find it.

Would it be possible to create permanent subtitles (encoded directly on top of the frames) without requiring another entire suit of applications?

The main reason I ask is that I have some very expensive anime DVD sets that I purchased and I would like to back them up onto SVCD and view them on my dvd player, which does not support svcd subtitles.

Ok, Im an idiot, I was using an EXTREMELY old copy of dvd2svcd and I just downloaded the newest version that includes this very function. Sorry to bother. Please feel free to flame, or perhaps give some tips on the usage of the permanent dvd subs.
