Editing MCE mpg files

Is it possible to edit MCE 2005 Media files (DVR-MS) is the another program that'll convert it to a mpg so it can be edited

DVR-MS usually has mpeg2 video and either ac3 or mpeg audio, so programs like DVR-MS Toolbox will convert it to a .mpg

or you can use graphedit and a mpeg2 muxer.
