It works in powerdvd 6.5, but it doesnt let me select .EVO files in other versions of powerdvd.
I was thinking the higher version would have more options/better pq than 6.5, but i cant get it to load.

thanks

The player's you can use for evo's:

PowerDVD 6.5 HD-DVD
PowerDVD 7.1 or 7.2 Ultra
WinDVD Platinum version 8 (Japan Release only)

i have tried powerdvd 7.2 ultra, but it does not let me select my .evo files to be played.
I am going to select source -> open media files
That seemed to work in 6.5, but not in 7.2 ultra

please do not needlessly bump your own thread. as per forum rule 1212) How NOT to post on this forum:

5 minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them.
...and yes i know you waited longer than 5 minutes ... but barely.

if someone can provide assistance, they will. trying to get more exposure through bumping will most likely lead to you being ignored all together.

cheers

ok, sorry
well, for anyone else interested you need 7.1 ultra to play the .evo files, as 7.2 is the bluray version and does not play evo files...i didn't think 7.1 mattered vs 7.2 when playing files off of hdd.
Also, the PQ from 6.5 to 7.1 jumped a lot, it almost seems like 6.5 wasnt displaying it at 1080p.

hope it helps
