vdub crash when click on position bar.. ASX, WMV, AVI...

hello all.

this is my problem:

1. i downloaded ASX netwrok stream (using VLC) and saved it as file.wmv.

2. i open this file in VirtualDub using AVIsynth (using DirectShowSource command)

3. now, when i click on the position bar of virtualdub, it crashes... i can "just" play the file, and nothing else.

any1 knows what's it all about?

other files are working perfectly... i even opened FLV files using this same method.

It sounds like you've managed to capture a copy-protected video for which you don't have an appropriate license or similar. If so, you probably shouldn't be posting about it at the Doom9 forums...

even if that's the case... why would VDUB open the file, and why would it CRASH when i click on the position bar?

either way, i can F7 (save as) AVI and then work on it...
just curious that's all.

by the way, all my downloads are legal.
