has anyone tried passing a webcam capture to sorenson squeeze to allow squeeze to convert?

sorenson has firewire driver but no vfw(?) drivers?

Describe how you think Avisynth would fit into the puzzle.

Think about your post - especially the information missing from it that prevents anyone from effectively helping you.

I'm going to read this article, so I can try to answer your question. http://www.gladwell.com/blink/blink_excerpt3.html

do you need the book "how to read in context" ?? ;)

we are in the avisynth forum, discussing video server and serving video content from one program to the other....

Hope that helps your inferiority complex.

Now i need advice more than complexes lol

Rather than getting into a flame war with you, I'll ignore the chromosome damage you're obviously suffering from and take the high road.

Webcam - are you capturing individual frames which are sequentially numbered, or is it video ? If it is video, what are the dimensions, frame rate, and codec ? Are there specific problems in the video that you wish to address that would make avisynth ideally suited for your project? What is your target video file format ? Do you plan on capturing 24/7? What type of naming convention does the video capturing application use for video segments ? Do you wish to have an automated procedure to transcode the source files?

Sorenson Squeeze (or Sorension Squeeze, as you call it) doesn't seem to natively accept avs files, or at least the earlier 3.x versions do not. Do you think it might help if you posted the version number to make that determination easier ? BTW, what is preventing you from asking Sorenson directly about Avisynth support? lol

@Pookie: You are leaning yourself heavily against a strike. Consider your words more carefully, or strikes will follow.

@lilhobo: You should think before taking the flamebait.

Keep on topic, or the thread will be closed.

On topic:
I personally gave up on Squeeze, but since it is discontinued and On2 Flix Pro has been made with slightly better AviSynth support - though still very buggy, I switched to that one. Now I primarily use ffmpeg for Flash 6 and VP6 VFW through avs2avi/ffmpeg for Flash 8 video.
