I've had a hard time using MeGUI for the files I need to encode (and the bugs in the current version aren't easy to ignore), so I've been using StaxRip.
Unfortunately, there is no way to import a profile in StaxRip, so I can't encode files with the 5.5G iPod profile without creating my own.
This is what I have in StaxRip:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Application Data\StaxRip\Applications\x264\x264.exe" --pass 1 --bitrate 350 --stats ".stats" --no-cabac --progress --threads auto --no-psnr --level 3 --analyse none --qpmin 16 --vbv-maxrate 1500 --me dia --ref 1 --output NUL ""
"C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Application Data\StaxRip\Applications\x264\x264.exe" --pass 2 --bitrate 350 --stats ".stats" --ref 2 --no-cabac --analyse none --subme 6 --me umh --progress --threads auto --no-psnr --output "_EncoderOutput.264_EncoderOutput.264" ""
When I try to encode a file, the muxed output can't play on my iPod. Does anyone know how I can fix this (I submitted an issue on Stax's site, but it hasn't helped)?
