I start the HDDVDdecrypter no problem and it finds the key, starts copying the files and then dies 5.5gb's into the first feature evo.
Every try with every version does the same thing at the same spot. Always 5.5gbs. No errors, just the dos screen closes.

Any thoughts?

hi,

is the same problem when you copy the full hd-dvd to your harddisk first?

CRC error when trying to copy the EVO it dies on in HDDVDdecrypter. Will try cleaning and see what happens.
If that doesn't work, return and get another one.

They were not kidding when they said these new discs are easily screwed up. As it turned out there was a very small smudge that cleaned up. It was not even noticeable in normal light.
After I cleaned it the disc worked fine.
Thanks for the idea to try try a direct copy. That told me it was a disc and not software issue.

I guess the bit density is now outrageously high (but we thought that about regular DVDs when they were introduced).
