backuphddvd: unable to access jarfile backuphddvd.jar

hi,

i don't like this java thing, everytime i try to start backuphddvd it says "unable to access jarfile backuphddvd.jar".
What i have to do? i have jre 1.6.0 , i copy the SERVER folder to the correct folder but there's still the problem.
It would be helpful to make a tool without java! Have you got a good step-by-step "manual" to start backuphddvd? (backuphddvd for newbies)

I had that error in Java where it said "Unable to find the BackupHDDVD.jar file". Make sure you put the 3 folders from BackupHDDVD into the C: base folder and run the command and it will work. That's what I had to do. It has to do with path. You could probably add paths into the environment variables but why bother if the fix is easy.

There is BackupHDDVD.cmd which should work. If you have problems with it, you can run it manually in the directory where BackupHDDVD.jar and KEYDB.cfg files are:

java -jar BackupHDDVD.jar

for example:

java -jar BackupHDDVD.jar e: c:\movies\title

If other people are having problems

I uninstalled all versions that was on my computer, downloaded the JDK 6 java file (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)
Copied the 'Server' folder from and to
%ProgramFiles%\Java\jdk1.6.0\jre\bin\
%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre1.6.0\bin\

Good way to find the folders,
cut and paste the above links in to your address bar above right now (the webpage will still be here)
