Hi,
a suggestion to improve the comfort of Gordian Knot: it should be easier to enter the size of a rip when the desired size is not available in the dropdown menu. For example I wanted to make a rip with a size of 50 mb (a music vid) and it was really to tricky to enter that value. Shouldn't be that hard to change it, thx :)

CU all!

I don't get it. It's too tricky to change a few numbers under Total File Size?

Yes, IMO it IS tricky to change the numbers because you cannot just enter some digits but you must try for long time until you get the system in order to change.

I don't see what is hard about going over to the two edit boxes below the divx3 and divx4 images depending on which one you use and typing 50 into the MB one and you are done.

Try to type in 50 when there is already a value set.

actually.. I fully support that.. thewef made some check so that you can't have an empty field (and also against too large values) which makes it pretty hard to enter custom values. A check once you start encoding would be more useful imho.

let me add my full support to the suggestion. grr, stupid GKnot boxes drive me crazy.

TheWEF just needs to check the correct value once the control is about to loose focus (in terms of programming, of course)...

I agree with FX. It would be much better to check whenever the edit box loses focus (or if you press enter maybe?), instead of on every keypress. Right now for the filesize, you have to type some digits, delete some, type more, delete more, etc. That's because the minimum value that it allows is whatever the size will be when your bitrate is 1 kbps.

By the way, if you set your system to use large fonts, the DivX "logos" are split in half and have a little space in them. The rest of the program looks fine though, so this is very minor. (Some programs I've seen look absolutely awful in large fonts. e.g. EO Video. Man, what an eyesore.)

I don't have a problem just highlighting the old value and typing in my new value.. but have have messed around and 3 is the lowest size that can be put in.. SO i guess if you are trying to type 1000 or anything that don't start with a 3 or higher can give problems since then it isn't typed in.
