Can anyone who owns FFXII, help me rip the fmvs?

I'm at my wits end here. I have in my possesion both the english and japanese versions of FFXII. Though admittedly, all I have of the japanese version is the iso. Anyways, I've tried and tried over an over again using every possible method of extracting fmv's from ps2 games I can think of. I've spent countless hours in front of a hex editor (even though I suck at working with hex) and have come up with nothing. I've spent just as many hours messing with the japanese version of the game utlizing a program which is supposed to rip the fmv's for you. Unfortunately, that doesn't work too well either.

So could anyone suggest some methods for finding and extracting m2v streams that appear to be hidden on a dvd? Could there perhaps be some special headers I could utilize in my hex editor? Really, any assistance I could get with this would be very much appreciated. If someone could merely explain how the hell these fmv's could be hidden so well in the first place, it would mean a lot.

I've looked around the boards some and have noticed that there don't seem to be many topics (if any at all) regarding dvd decrypting from video games. So with that in mind, I apologize if these are the wrong boards to even be asking for help on the issue. But I'm doing this in good faith. Though it is a video game I need help with, it's still nonetheless, on a dvd. So hopefully someone can help me out.

Have you tried the NGemu forums (http://forums.ngemu.com/index.php)? In the 'Misc PS2' section, they have generic rippers and also specific rippers for Final Fantasy games. Not sure if there's one for FFXII, but it's the place to ask.

yes, I've visited those forums. In fact, I'm I registered member (though I don't think I've ever posted a single thing in the forums. lol) But one thing I have done is browse their forums...a lot.

Anyways, with regards to the topic, I've searched for and have read FFXII ripping topics brought up over at their boards, and have even seen posts with these same questions asked in the various threads. Unfortunately, based on my observations, questions with regards to ripping this games fmv's usually either:
1.) Go completely ignored
2.) Or are replied with the same suggestions to use the various applications designed to rip the .pss files off the games.
And in this case, absolutely none of those programs or methods work. Searching in a hex edittor for the standard header for mpeg2 or m2v files doesn't work either (which explains why none of the easy more "generic" methods work at all).

Sorry i don't think ff 12 has a program yet like ff 10 and ff10-2 to rip/decrypt the fmvs.
If there is one i certainly haven't heard of it.

I most certainly understand that and to be perfectly honest, I'm not looking for a program/application to do the work for me. I'm 99.999999% sure that an fmv extractor doesn't exist for the english version at this time. Instead, I'm trying to search for methods in order to extract the fmv's myself using a hex editor. The fact of the matter is that these fmv's can most certainly be extracted. Someone made one for the japanese version and it does work to an extent. (It creates .tmp files with the fmv's temporarily in them, but when the program is supposed to transfer the data into it's respective .m2v file, it screws up for some reason). That's beside the point though. I realize my request for help on the issue is most certainly not an easy one. But I just figured, it doesn't hurt to ask, right? There's got to be someone out their skilled enough working with hex who'd be willing to help me out...hopefully. :o
