Hello;

I am using GK for DVD ripping to XviDs...
But i have complicated for output resolutions...
I dont like to get 672x288 , 704x304 etc...
I like to get 720x384 output resolution but i never got that resolution...
I tried many things as like more size (1500MB ,2100MB in total) but never got 720x384...
So what can i do to get that resolution on all my XviDs?

Thanks for your helps...

No, you can't force AutoGK to mess it up, in spite of your best efforts to make it do so.

Why would you want AutoGK to turn a 1.66:1 movie into a 2.35:1 movie? It can be done in 2 possible ways. One would be to "flatten" or "squish" the picture, making everyone look short and fat, with a very bad aspect ratio. The other way keeps the aspect ratio, but crops from the top and bottom, cutting off the heads and feet of people. Which do you want?

Or is there something wrong with the source? Don't the people look "normal" at 640x384?

If what you say is true, then I may have to eat my words. Perhaps it's one of the few movies on DVD where the vobs are encoded for 4:3, but are set for 16:9 in the IFOs, to make it play "normally". Take a look at the picture here:

This is the Hidden Options screen of AutoGK. After you open the movie in AutoGK, hit CTRL-F9 to access the Hidden Options. In the lower left corner, check "Override Input AR", and then tick "16:9" just to the right of it. Then encode your movie as before, and let's hope it turns out OK this time. There's more information here:

Now i am looking for correct output resolution for 1:2.35 movies?
I found correct AR for 1:1.85 movies which is 1.875 for 720x384 output resolution,
But i don't know for 1:2.35?
What number i need to drop for AR in GK for get a 720x304 resolution with high quality?

1:1.85 = 1.875
1:2.35 = ?

Thanks for your helps

Why do you need to know the exact AR? You have the resolution you need.

I never got 720x304 resolution i got 704x304...
And its not adjustable...
When i go high in resolution side it gives 720x320, 736x320 etc...

But 1.875 AR is correctly works for 720x384 and very excellent quality avi file on 1.85:1 movies...

I wonder what about 2.35:1 movie's AR...

You can leave some of the black frame at the top and bottom of the video and keep it 720x320, or under Input you can select "other" and decrease the height of the source.
