Hello!
I've a lot of trouble, with ripit4me and autogk these days: Whats wrong?
1. two languages on the output at the same time,
2. subs are out of time - or no subs at all
3. autogk keeps abording:
3.a) error message "two many pictures", or
3b) "cannot find the file "interlace.log" (see below).

I gave the original DVD, ripit4me and VobBlanker a chance, to process the dvd BEFORE using autoGK... no success.

I'm running out of ideas!
Thanks for help,
Brösel

Try ripping the movie with DVD Decrypter by itself in .IFO mode - you may have to extract the subs separately with something like VobSub, but there's no advanced copy protection on the LotR 1 disk and RipIt4Me isn't necessary.

Hi!
Thanks for the answer!
Did as you told me to:
DVD-decrypter says after 2 seconds: "Encryption detected, vts/pgc/cell: 1/1/1, LBA 297647, this disc is not supposed to be protected by css/cppm, so this is somewhat strange". I can chose to try to decrypt the encypted data, or not to. What should I do? thx, Brösel

P.s.: I do not understand why ripit4me can't be used on movies which are not protected... shouldn't do any harm...? And how do I know, when to use riptit4me, and when dvd-decrypter on it's own? thank's once more!

You can use RipIt4Me with any movie...
...but there is no cure for out of sync subs...

Regarding your problem...
Are you using any on-the-fly decrypting program in conjuction with Decrypter/RipIt4Me??
Post the DVDDecrypter.log....

Hello bourtzovlakas!
No, I'm not using on-the-fly decrypting programs. I tried anyDVD once, but it's not running at the moment.

I will upload two logfiles: the first one ("about Schmidt") had a simular error message (Encryption detected, vts/pgc/cell: x/x/x, LBA xxxxxx, this disc is not supposed to be protected by css/cppm, so this is somewhat strange), and I've chosen not to do anything about the decrypted data. I've tried it before, and the copy-protection was NOT removed completely (if at all):
The second logfile is the "lotrd of the rings" (see first post). I've chosen "yes" decrypt the encypted data... and here ist the result...

thanks for helping!

I'm not sure, if this information is of any use, but watching the output VOB's of "about schmidt" I realize, that the first two files seem to be fine, but the following three are (partly) copyprotected).

Source Device: [0:0:0] SCSI DVD-ROM 1.0 (F: ) (SCSI)

This does not seem right...

Why shouldn't it? I made an image of the dvd to avoid the noise while autogk does its job. Ultra-iso and virtual clone drive. That shouldn't make any difference!

Did you PLAY the ISO image file, to make certain that the subs were in sync on the ISO (and that the other problems didin't exist on the ISO)?

It does not seem right to re-rip from a mounted ISO rip...
You should rip only once from the source disk with RipIt4Me in "Movie Only" mode....

There are times that it's necessary, for example episodic DVD's, or those with multi-angles. A "movie only" rip from RipIt4Me will still include all the various angles or episodes if it's loaded directly into AutoGK.

IIRC in "Movie Only" mode, RipIt4Me will ask you which episode you want to rip....

After all, how would re-ripping an ISO rip would help you in this situation???

Hello folks!
Well, I never encountered problems using ultra-iso and images. I thought, programs like autogk, ripit4me and so on wouldn't notice the difference! It's not a real "Rip", at all: the structer doesn't get changed!

I always used "movie only" with ripit4me, except last time, when I followed the instructions of CWR03.

Concerning the mixed up subs: This appeared with the movie "da vinci code". The output of ripit4me is alright: All subs seem to be in place. So it's autogk which causes the mess - at least concerning the subs! This is the only movie, I do NOT encounter probs with dvd-decrypter / ripit4me.

@setarip_old: I can't see crap, watching the iso... because of the cpy-protection. No way I can see, if the subs are fine. Sorry.

very happy you care about my problems...

What is the purpose/benefit of copying the PROTECTED DVD "package" to your hard drive?

- to avoid permanent noise if any part of the process fails, it's easy to restart no need to change discs I can still use my dvd-burner to burn other stuff I can make all images I need in one rush, then I can put the original away I can tell autogk to process 10 DVD's, if there are ten images loaded. But I couldn't do more than 1 movie if a dvd-drive was needed. autogk often runs over the weekend while I'm away. durig the week, I need my PC to do some working

... well, to answer more precisely to your last question, setarip_old, why I coppy it protected: Removing the protection may cause a lot of probs. This is why I prefer a 1:1 copy first, and care about the protection afterwards!

I'm afraid I still don't understand (and will drop it after this) - Why bother making the ISO image file on your hard drive? Why don't you just decrypt the original DVD when you're ready to "care about the protection"?

What purpose does the ISO serve?

Broesel

@setarip_old: It's no big deal at all, but it's quicker and more comfortable working from hd to hd than dvd to hd. This way I avoid ripping from dvd to hd several times (in case, proplems appear while ripping). Nearly nothing can go wrong, creating an iso! Anyhow - this has nothing to do with my problems - because it doesn't make any difference if I work with the iso or the dvd. If you insist, I will work with the original from now on... if you still think, it is of any use!

Brösel
