Hi,

Just wonder if anyone can check to see whether their installation of AutoGK can open this test clip of MPEG2. For me it gives the error above. Tested with AutoGK 2.27 and 2.40.

test clip (3MB) (http://www.idiots.org.uk/stuff/test.mpg)

It seems to be readable fine by VirtualDub MPEG2, Media Player Classic and VideoLAN.

Thanks,
James

Hi,

Doesn't open. Crashes Vdubmod. Seems file info mixes up between mpeg1 & mpeg2 ...

I used Mpg2Cut2 to load, select all clip and save as .m2v
This m2v file was successfully opened in AGK.

OK, I get it now, thanks.

So AutoGK requires that mpeg2 video only files must be named with an .m2v extension. I just renamed that test clip to test.m2v and AutoGK then opened it fine.

It's become academic anyway for me now, because I now realise that AutoGK doesn't support input of demuxed video and audio files. I wanted to input MPEG2 video and PCM audio, but the only way I can do that is if I mux them first.

Cheers for clearing that up for me anyway.
