Hello folks,
I recently wrote a little .net program to create VirtualDub batch jobs using a settingsfile as template and a directory containing various videofiles as source.
It is great to encode DV captured with WinDV.
The tool can be obtained here:

Hope you find it useful!
Best regards,

Hi!
What more does this program do than simply directly using VirtualDub's built-in "Job Control"?

well, it uses the job control, right. but virtualdub has no mechanism to generate a lot of jobs automatically. this proggy scans a directory for video files (avi, mpg) applies processing settings to every file and adds it to the batch queue.
if you do that manually for several files it becomes very annoying.
while (files) {
open file -> load processing settings -> save avi -> add to job queue;
}

That's exactly what Job Control->Edit->Process directory does.

D'oh! ;)
never saw this option. sorry.
but which settings does virtualdub use for the jobs?

Whatever the current settings are. That's why you can choose compression settings and add filters even when there's no file loaded.
