Hi guys, I seem to have a problem with my MeGUI, it doens't load any videos. Once I open the video itself, the whole program would just crash and dissapear from the desktop.
And I tried opening with an .avs, I got the error memory can't be written. May I know whats the problem? I even use 0.24.1020 and the same problem occurs
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Install avisynth 2.5.7 from sourceforge. If that doesn't fix things,
try making a script with just version() in it, open it in virtualdub or mpc. If that doesn't work, clear your avisynth plugins folder and redownload what you need (from megui's update if you want).
If it did work, though, your video might be corrupted and crashing avisynth, or something else weird is going on. You can try erasing autoupdate.xml and updating everything at once. Otherwise, one of the megui devs might be able to help further.

Everything else is okay, just that my MeGUI will just dissapear when I open something with or without avs >.>"
Plus I open it up in VDM, no problems >.>"
Can even play in mpc the avs file

So can any1 help me here?
I reinstalled Avisynth to the latest 1s and even tested with MPC and VDM and it works
But Megui will crash for no reason, says about memory errors...
what seems to be the problem?

you should probably update to SP2 unless you have some sort of compelling reason not to. It updates a whole lotta stuff. Hopefully that will help.

And I tried opening with an .avs, I got the error memory can't be written ...(try to) switch off preview. none of 0.2.4s seems to put up with that (or with me ;))

I have same bug:
(error msg for your refrence: attempted to read or write protected memory. this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt)
Win 2000 sp4, AviSynth 2.5.6, Megui 2180/92 work fine.

Have a look here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=119897).
I guess it is the same problem.
I tried several avs scripts... but i still cant reproduce it.
I think it's something on your end...

it is the same and turning off preview doesnt help. the only thing that has worked for me out all the suggestions(weren't that many really), was to go back to the old version 0.2.3.2193

Same here.
I tried it on two PCs and one laptop with the same results. All of them have win2k installed.
