TMPG Dvd author outputting smaller file?

Ok alittle confused i am using TMPG dvd author to put together a 7gb dvd which i was going to then us dvd shrink to make it 4.3, anyway TMPG warns me that its 7 gigs and i'll need a dual layer etc etc i click begin and when its done it only outputs a 2.4gb file, whats the deal? :mad:

1) What is the content of the 2.4Gb file? Is it only one file, or is it a DVD "package" of .IFOs, .BUPs, and .VOBs?

2) Are you running out of hard drive space?

It is a full dvd and no I am good on HD space, i upgraded to dvd author 2.0 and it fixed the problem. Thanks.

i upgraded to dvd author 2.0 and it fixed the problem.That's odd - I wonder what you might have done differently using v.1.6 versus using v.2.0...
