Does anybody know the "difference" between the following thoe methods for converting the AC3 track of a DVD to WAV?

Method 1: Using GraphEdit (with .lst files produced by smartripper as input) with the Ligos MPEG splitter, Intervideo Audio decoder fileters to create the WAV file

Method 2: Using DVD2AVI (1.76) to extract the AC3 track and then using AZID for AC3 to WAV conversion

I'm using Win XP Pro as operating System

The reason I'm asking this is that I've noticed differences in the files sizez of the resulting WAV file. For example the WAV file of the Pilot episode of the X-Files has a resulting filesize of 520.663Kb with Method 1 and 478.370 Kb with Method 2). I've also noticed that Method 1 always works and that Method 2 sometimes won't complete succesfully (for example with X-Files episode 13 of season 1)

although BeSweet has issues with bbDMUX, you might wanna try this method also.

I've just tried BeSweet (used a .lst file as input)with all the default options. Unfortunatelly BeSweet "crashes" after having processed about 25-26 minutes of the 45 minutes of the X-Files pilot. The error is occuring during the the first part of the processing by BeSweet. I've included the contents of the DOS box at the moment of the error below.

bbdmux IS problematic, but you could input the AC3 files to BeSweet and probably get good results.

btw,
did you set for "find max gain" ?
did set the "-logfile" switch ?

Feeding the AC3 files to BeSweet directly works! I've used the -find max gain and the -logfile switch (with append option!) Only problem is that when a problem occurs (for example when using bbDMUX) BeSweet is abnormally terminated and nothing is written to the logfile.

@DanniDin
could you add a checkbox to your GUI : "Close dos window when finished" (that would default to yes, but could be set to nO) ?
