Converting video to Meizu M6 in best possible quality

There is original video in player what run on 20fps nice and smooth, whem i try to convert video and use 20fps player probably don't have enought power to decode it and when i convert it to 18fps then its more smooth than 20, i convrting it in mplayer.

Original video in player have 20 fps

48khz, 160kbps, stereo, cbr mp3
240x320, 354(?)kbps, 20fps, xvid - iso mpeg 4
crated in virutal dub

Converted video via video converter have 18 fps
(
240x320, 18fps, 311(?)kbps, xvid - iso mpeg 4
41khz, 128kbps, cbr mp3
crated in mencoder

If i use 20 fps in video encoder, video don't have smooth playback in player.

How can i encode it to work ok on 20fps?

Btw textsubitles filter for virtualdub is vobsub from guliverkli?

Just comparing the 2 screens, I would say:

- "Audio frames" => "split across interleaves" or "aligned on interleaves"
- AVI v1.0 vs. AVI v2.0 (OpenDML).

This problem seems to be the way mencoder created the avi file.
Try opening the file you created with AVIMux_GUI and demux/remux the file with different settings. You won't need to reencode anything, since XviD settings seem to correspond.

I don't own a Meizu M6, it's just suppositions based on what you posted.

Hmmm nevermind i tryed another movies and 20fps works fine (about same as 18 fps). Anyway this whole avi and iso mpeg 4 things are realy complicated \:

I found that no b-frame is used in either case. It's too bad if Meizu M6 does not support b-frames.

BTW, someone on the net said you can upgrade the firmware in order to play videos of 20fps.

It's not a matter of seeing a difference, it's a matter of hardware compatibility :)

As the resolution is well undersized, the b-frame isn't worth on such materials..

B-frames mean smaller files. It worths for portable players with (relatively) small storages.
