I have a lot of divx/AVI/Xvid films with 2 channel stereo audio on them and i wanted to make 5.1 dts to add to the films.
First of all i ripped the audio of the divx film using riverpast audio ripper.(into WAV format)
Secondly i put that 2 channel stereo WAV into Plogue Bidule using the DPLamb Method to get my 6 WAV files.
Next i converted the 6 WAVs to the .dts format using surcode dvd dts encoder pro.
Then i converted the divx video (that i earlier ripped the audio off) into video files using dvd santa.
Next i added the .dts file as the second audio stream in dvd lab pro.
As my divx film converted with 2 chanel audio on came to about 4gb and my .dts file was over 1gb i used dvd shrink to shrink it down to fit onto a dvd-5.
Lastly i burnt the dvd using nero 7.
The problem im having is when i play the dvd on my dvd player (which is connected to a sony amp through coax) it makes the picture on my film jump and jurk very badly.
when it does this my amp wont pick up any audio even though on my dvd player it showed up as having the origional 2 channel audio and the 5.1 DTS.
In short occasions it would stop flickering (sometimes when i wud stop and start then fastforward) when it stoped my amp did pick up the DTS but there was not much sound just the background noise what was in the film.
I also tryed adding the .dts file to the origional divx movie and then convert to dvd with a dvd santa and other divx to dvd converters. But they wouldnt convert it as there was 2 audio streams.
Has any one converted 2ch stereo into dts to add to a film before that can help me and let me know what im doing wrong or that can give me a better method that will do the trick.
Thanx
