Whenever I rent a DVD in our local videoshop , I rip it using Smartripper or DVD decrypter (both work excellent)...This way I can encode the movie whenever I feel like it after having returned the DVD to the store..
My question: Should I still use the internal ripping routines when I convert the already ripped vobs to SVCD or is this step now obsolete?
Or is it possible to simply COPY the dvd's contents ( and I do mean copy, not rip it) and then ENABLE the internal ripping routines when starting the conversion process...
So far I've created several quality rips using dvddecrypter but since most of the advanced DVD2SVCD users recommend using the internal routine I was wondering on this.
Should anyone like to clarify this a bit...much appreciated.
Merry X-mas by the way :)
