hehe... I've knew that someone would be smart enough to write xvid_encraw.exe -help:) ...It just list options, doesn't help at all ...I need to know FULL xvid_encraw command line options scripts before encoding...for top quality encodes at reasonable bitrates and filesizes(0.7-1.67gb)

:)

one tip

i used xvid_encraw in my automkv and several users have been plagued by undersize (using teegdeck profiles)

i done many test and seems that the new xvid_encraw of squid_80 with -altpass2 would be able to fix those undersize

-altpass2 fixes undersizing? I thought it would have made it worse.

henryho_hk's batch files are very nifty for targetting certain quality based on source... otherwise read the guides about what the vfw options do and figure out which encraw options match the vfw dialogs.

@henryho_hk...I'll give it a try!
None dare to paste just one/two simple line(s)(2pass encode)...Well I guess I will have to figure it out...BTW, thanks for the tips.

This is the in same category as the banned 'best' questions, because the request is simply too vague to be answerable. I can give you a half dozen command lines, not one of which may be suitable for your purposes. If you just want to tweak something, you can edit the batch files to echo the command line once you've determined what preset best meets your needs.

@foxyshadis.....purpose is to backup DVD at about 1.37gb target size(video&AC3)...just paste your usual xvid_encraw command line scripts considering mantiond purpose for anime or real movie.

You can make a sample run of my batch script. All the xvid_encraw commands are shown on screen. They are listed in the .log file in the tmp directory also.

Actually I don't have any undersize problem with Teegedeck's presets using my batch script, as it automatically pick the right preset using compressibility test.
