Hi,
I tried both utilities and BeHappy (with aften encoder) seems be slighty better in the conversion PAL > NTSC (AC3 tracks) ... is it just my impression?
Anyway I'm not still satisfied about quality ... are there particular settings to improve quality of framerate conversion?
I know that better way is resampling every separate track of ac3 stream and rebuilding ac3 but it's a too much long method :|
Thx :)

The process is not resample but timestretch and always is needed rebuild (re-encode) the ac3.

1) Soundtouch-BeSweet only work with stereo files then for ac3 5.1 we can't use BeSweet directly.
2) The timestretch in AviSynth-BeHappy is also based in Soundtouch library then the results must be similar. I don't know if one is better tuned than other.
3) The encoder Aften can be used also with BeSweet if you use the last bsn.dll. If you use the old ac3enc.dll you obtain a half volume output.

The best method to preserve the audio quality is don't touch the audio. The audio haven't framerate, have duration and is the same in NTSC or PAL systems. Only the video framerate is different and must be changed inserting/deleting frames to match the duration.
