DivX/MPEG-4 Player with Streaming Capabilities?

Essentially, I'm looking for a device that can play AVIs off a DVD-/+R (such as the Philips DVP642/37) that can also stream those same AVIs off a computer. Is there such a thing?

I've seen streaming devices with DVD players, but I'm a little unsure as to whether those are what I'm looking for (that is, if the DVD player can read AVIs). The devices that match what I'm looking for the best seem to be the Kiss networked DVD players. Unfortunately, I can't find them here in the US. Any suggestions or alternatives?

I checked that thread. The ADS Media Link seems very appealing and it's still on the market in select places in the US, but I don't like the fact that its been discontinued and that there's potential for stuttering (and that seems to be the case with any streaming device really). That's part of the reason why I'd like to have a combo DivX Player/Streaming Device.

I contacted Kiss about difficulties locating their Networked DVD Players in the US market and got this reply:

Dear sir,

Thank you for contacting Linksys Networked Entertainment and for your interest in our Linksys products.

Linksys Networked Entertainment will arrive on the American market during 2007 with the launch of a new group of products. We do not have yet the launch date.
