I bought the ALVP2 first. My mistake was that it doesn't have HDMI. Using the component cables, I see slow scrolling diaganal bars when connecting go the TV using 720p. Trash

I bought the Helios X3000 next. The 1080p playback had random bright colored "sparkels' in the entire screen. 720p looked great. However, the tv screen couldn't recognize the HDMI signal form the X3000 when the X3000 first turned on. I solved this by setting the X3000 to 480p, then changing the mode on boot up. Then after about 1 month the Helios X3000 doesn't turn on any more. The on light is lite, but it doesn't do anything. No picture, and I can't eject the DVD drive.

Neither player recognized my 1G or 4G flash drive. Both recognized my 128M drive, but thats worthlessly small.

The only other player that is 720p or 1080p I can find is the Linktheater PC-3LWG. I'm going to try that next.

Does anyone know of any 720p or 1080p HD DivX players with an HDMI or DVI output?

Mine has a Japan-specific D4 interface, not HDMI or DVI. Mine is about 1.5 years old so unless something has changed, it does not have these ports.

Try the Zensonic Z500....it plays just about everything (not x264 though). It plays 1280x720 xvid at 4Mb/sec with no problems. Not sure about 1080p xvid though, never tried it.

Does anyone know of any 720p or 1080p HD DivX players with an HDMI or DVI output?I don't have any problems with my Zensonic Z500

My multi-standard TV will accept both 1080i50 or 1080i60 HDMI input signals (not all do)...
