View Full Version : Audio out of sync after splitting

I'm sure i read about this problem before, but the search option is disabled and i was not able to find it again.

My problem:

I encoded a movie to divx3 with a filesize of 1,39gig. The vbr-mp3 audio was muxed in with a delay of 1002ms. No problem so far, the movie is playing fine. But after using nandub to split the movie into 2 parts, the 2nd part's audio is out of sync. What have i done wrong? do i have to enter the audio delay for the second part too?

I think I read this is a problem with the VBR splitting. What I do is split and mux at the same time and you shouldn't see the problem anymore.

yeah, muxing when you split should fix the problem. Make sure your interleave is at 1 frame.

and how can I split & mux at the same time with NanDub?

add mp3:
1. open the avi
2. set video & audio to direct stream copy
3. select your mp3 ("audio/vbr mp3")
4. enter audio delay in "audio/interleaving"

splitting:

5. press Pos1 to set beginning of the 1st part
6. goto "edit/find last keyframe.." and set mb to 695 or something
7. press Ende (keyboard ;)) to set the end of the first part
8. press f7 to save the first part
9. press pos1 to set start of the 2nd part
10. pull the slider to the very end and press Ende.
11. press F7 to save the 2nd part.
12. finished :)

hi,

I've done it with this methode which @zulu told me here
but it the same problem still!

The Movie is "American Pie" and there is also something with such 1002ms

D:\DVD\American Pie\American Pie AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY 1002ms.ac3

But I have this problem still!
What'S wrong, or is the also another way to do it?

zulu's method is exactly right and step by step. I don't know what your doing wrong.

1002ms is the audio delay you have to enter in the audio/interleaving menu selection. Go back and follow the steps again, you must be doing something wrong.
