I found BeSplit beta v0.9b6 from http://besweet.notrace.dk/besplit.html. (Though v0.9b7 is also listed, that link is dead).
I want to change the volume on some MP2 files, and this is the only method I've found to do so losslessly (i.e. without converting to WAVE and back).
The text files included with this are incomplete, but there is a mention of the "ota" parameter used to normalise: "-ota( -G max )".
Looking at the docs for BeSweet, it also has an ota parameter, "overalll track adjustment", so I guessed that "-ota( -G XdB )" would boost sound by X decibels, and this seems to work.
However, on some tracks I want to reduce the volume, but using " -ota( -G -XdB )" for any X does nothing at all.
Is there a way to do this, using BeSplit (or another app that can operate directly on an MP2)?
