Can CoreAVC decode MP4V streams in addition to AVC ? I am using Nero Recode2 to encode DVDs into the NeroDigital Standard format (not AVC).

Thanks

no cause Standard format is ASP. CoreAVC is meant for AVC

Thanks....I guess I can use the FFDshow codec for ASP....Are there any ASP codecs that can take advantage of a Core2Duo processor?

Do you actually need one? I just tested a 1920x1080 xvid at 150Mbps (I-frame only), which you're very unlikely to ever see higher than, and it still runs at 25fps. (On Core2, can't say what it'd be like on older P-Ds or X2s.) A more normal 35Mbps 1080p one gets over 50fps. The decoder runs on its own thread separate from filtering in ffdshow, so I can't think of any reason to need threaded decoding on such a beefy cpu.
