Hi.

Yesterday I was trying to reauthor a movie adding subtitles.
I demuxed the m2v and AC3 with decrypter and tried to import them to DVDmaestro.

Ac3 had an error, but I fixed it with BeSlice, and on the m2v I got the typicall "Temporal references in GOP" error.

I tried using every fixing tool mentioned in the forum, even mpeg-vcr GOP fixer but DVDmaestro doesn't allow me to import the m2v.

I read that most ppl around were suggesting the use of PVAStrumento to demux.

I try it and here are the results:

The log shows that it started re-syncing ever half second or so.

Today when I woke up I found this:

Now I am going to try using ProjectX but I thought it was interesting to show this.

I think the problem come from a different m2v file in the DVD title:
when you use a DVD authoring tool, you can put different m2v
file on one movie track (with different bitrate and TimeCode or video size).

But when you take the complete video track in one part (after demux)
you can not import it in DVD authoring sofware...

The best for you is to demux chapiter by chapiter the video title of your DVD.

Demuxing by chapter is not a solution, I had tried it before, use Restream to fix it. Please refer to my previous post:-

BigCondor: I already tried that, but it doesn't fix the problem.

The only app that did the job was ProyectX. After demuxing with it DVDmaestro allowed the file. The thing is that the m2v is out of sync with the ac3. Ac3 files is 20 mins shorter!

If there are other problems then probably your source is problematic!
Btw, when maestro reported error on the m2v, what is the length shown? If the length is only 15 frames, probably it is an end code. For some other values, check if the value is at cell level and try to split it up at that cell and see if it works.

I tried authoring with Muxman and it worked.
Thanks for the help.
