Having followed this link http://www.rita.lt/guides/GKnot_DVDtoAVI.htm
to the letter about 5 times I just can't get my video to encode properly.
I'm looking to create a 2gig xvid, the result ends up being a 250k pixelated waste of time. No matter what i set the bitrate or output resolution, they all come out very pixelated.
Now if I use AGknot, the video does come out, BUT there are black bars on the left and right sides and AGK does not allow for manual or even automatic cropping, not that I can see with its limited options.
Here's my process:
The VOB files are already extracted the the hdd, i use GK to process the VOBs using DGI, following the above link (as well as trying other things, when it didn't work), then open the .d2v file in GK. Again, setting up xvid according to the above link. Normally it should take about 1.5 hours to process this whole thing to get a file that is about 2 gigs in size, instead, it's finishing in about 30 minutes with a 250k file.
I'm not sure what I'm asking for, I'm just not sure where to start to get this working properly. I have used it before with success, but now, no.
Ask me some questions, I guess, to find out what I'm doing wrong, thanks for any help.
