So I had read that DVDFab rips TN fine. Well, I ripped my store-bought copy using DVDFab 3.0.5.0 and the dialogue audio isn't there. I've never seen this happen before. All the audio I get is the background audio. Weird. WTH is going on here? Thanks.

Sounds like you have a wire loose on your audio connection.

@Tsplat

Hi!

If by "background audio" you mean "Director's Commentary", try pressing the "Audio" (or "Language") button on your remote, one or more times, to change the selected audiostream...

I've b/u many, many of my DVDs so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing after all these years. :) Re: the audio, there is none. All When I play the ripped copy all I get for audio is the background audio... like the cars, music, etc., but no actual dialogue whatsoever. Like I said, weird. I'm going to rerip it again tomorrow and see what's what.

I've b/u many, many of my DVDs so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing after all these years.As have many of us. In particular, I successfully backed up the Region 1 version of "Talladega Nights" and have no problem with the audio.

Found out it was Ifoedit. When I played it back using WinDVD4 it worked fine.
