Higuest Quality AVC Configuration???

Friends some questions about the configurations in latest Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced Edition.

What i sayd about Maximum Definition AVC Profile is not avaliable anymore in the Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced
only avaliable AVC Profiles:

- Mobile AVC
- Portable AVC
- Standard AVC
- Cinema AVC and HDTV AVC that i will try to use because have many options to define

General Settings
- Decision Quality: i always use High Quality
-Maximum Vector Range: have now to select -256 to 255.75 only in my other old version have -512 to 511.75 (Maximum Definition AVC Profile that dont have anymore i think)

- GOP Properties are now 1 300 3 my old Nero version are 3 300 3

Encoding Tools
- New 8X8 Transform and Deblocking is not more Automatic
I dont know what i add Deblocking Strength -2 or dont change it, about 8X8 Transform i'm noob and dont know if i need to use or not

Visual Enhancement i newer used i always unselect all options in my old retail version

What i need to know what options can i select to make same options as Maximum Definition AVC Profile, in my old version i select Deblocking Adaptive Automatic Sharp this version dont have anymore this option

By the simply fact that there isn't adaptative deblocking anymore, you can't ;)

- 8x8 transform should be on in most cases, this is meant to improve compression quite a bit :p
- maximum vector range doesn't need to be that much, 16 or 32 is enough (unless what you're encoding contains VERY fast moving objects, but it's likely nero would insert a keyframe anyway instead of looking further for where the object disappeared to).
- Setting GOP settings to 3 300 3 is better than 1 300 3, so stick with it. I'm disapointed Nero limits the number of reference frames to 3, because in theory you could use at least up to 6 and still increase the picture quality (the maximum value defined in the standard is 16 IIRC, but above 8 is very useless).

Visual enhancements really depends on what you're encoding, but you should generally use them. It's trial and error.

You probably won't be able to reproduce your maximum definition AVC profile with nero 7, but be careful: the HDTV profile doesn't allow you to encode below a certain bitrate (512kbps if i'm not mistaken). Cinema profile has the same options for you to tweak, so it might suit you better for certain videos.

IIRC, maximum vector range in nero isn't the same as maximum motion vector search range, so I wouldn't be lowering it. One is the length of motion vector, the second is the range of how far from predicted MV should encoder look for the 'real' MV.
