quite an interesting thread - i hope
the xbox gets put to many other purposes
other yhan what it was designed for.

i read that the xbox's dvd is very crapola,
576 max res 4 PAL and 480(!) for NTSC...thats
max res. Beats me why M$ couldn't have made a
kika-assa dvd player out of the xbox tho.

it'd be good if some [very smart] person could come up with
an xbox divx player - it'd look better than playing a
dvd on the xbox 4 sure i'd say!

How many lines You think standard PAL/NTSC can handle, how many lines there are on the DVDs and how many lines standalone DVD players output?
