this is a 2-part question, and i hope you folks can help me out.

I am running Vista RC1 Ultimate edition; intel centrino duo mobile 1.83 2MB, 667; 2GBram, 120gb HD, laptop

I am trying to install VobSub 2.23. I get a few errors upon installation...I have to click on "ignore" to get past these problems.

first, i will list the files in question that installation procedure has in question...

1) error opening or writing: c:/windows/system32/vobsub.dll...hit abort, etc...etc...

2) error opening / writing: c:/windows/system32/dvobsub.ax
...hit abort, etc....

I clicked ignore on both boxes...

after i open up the program 'direct vobsub configure'...and then click 'open' in the dialog box to supposedly open up my .vob files from my DVD9 folder...i'm supposed to get an option to select file type of .vob folders...i do not get it...

i will give you a link to my set-up procedure that i am following so you can see what i am talking about here...

SO THERE YOU GO:
1...installation of program is haywire
2...i don't get proper screen views as shown by that link

IN the end, I need to rip out one subtitle file (from 8 other languages on a DVD that I ripped into a DVD9 folder on my hard-drive) and then put that subtitle 'file' into another DVD5 folder on hard-drive...so that the final DVD5 folder realises an additional subtitle track, which already has 5 subtitle languages. The 2nd DVD5 folder is the same movie, but different release that did not contain the subtitle track i wanted}...

thankx in advance for your help...
