Can any1 tell which of the 2 is better ? I encoded a video using Xvid with A.Q turned on & then encoded another sample from the same source this time using Divx 6.4 with Psychovisual Enhancements (Shaping) turned on. I compared the 2 videos but i am not able to judge any noticeable effect.

varunb, personally I avoid both as I have found that they only interfere with the picture quality. They are experimental at best, and whatever bits they may save for better usage elsewhere, the deterioration of highlights and shadows (particularly the latter) is not worth it... That's my opinion because I'm an purist when it comes to image quality...
