I am having audio syncing issues with x264 when I use it with Gordian Knot. I noticed that these syncing issues occur when I set the partition decision to 6b RDO b-frames but not when using 5 High Quality. Is this a bug? Has anyone else has this happen?

Since hardly anyone here uses or cares about the vfw version of x264, which this is, you'll probably only get help on the vfw branch site (http://gabextreme.googlepages.com/x264vfwunited). They have what's most likely a newer version there anyway.

Thanks for the help foxyshadis, I resolved my problem.

I have been using Gordian Knot for some time now so I'm used to it but if there is a better alternative out there I'd like to try it out. I was wondering what everyone else uses for encoding in x264. Is there a better program or a tutorial you could point me toward? Thanks.

MeGUI plus the x264 CLI is what I use. MeGUI has undergone heavy development over the last 2 weeks with commits of extensive redesigns. The development team is a well oiled machine when it comes to fixing bugs.

It'll produce the highest quality mp4 or mkv h264 encodes around. Plus the community is growing quite alot so you'll find lots of help.
