Hi all,
I am not sure is this really a bugs / flaw or macro protection, but I ussually encode using DivX 6 converter from HD material to DivX HD at 720p for some files that normally over 120 minutes play it will somehow hang or stop when doing DivX Media. Some film stop at 18% (118%) build DivX media, but some at 46% (146%). I am not sure what is the problem. I test with DVD it also have the same problem, some movies over 2 hours cannot finish encode even I use more memory and overclock my Core2Duo. First I think it is because problem in copyprotection, but using my own HD camcorder without any copy protection also have the same result.

make sure your system is stable and not overheating.
also, do you have enough HD space?

does the encoding always stops at exactly 18% or 46% or is this a rough guess?
are there maybe any resource hungry processes kicking in in the background just then?

as a side note, OC your CPU will most likely not have a positive effect on your problem.

Yeah you right,
seems my CPU not stable, not sure why. Seems there is conflict in system with macrovision free and region free software. But one thing for sure, it stop when have to encoding movie more than 120 minutes. I think it is come from Acer owns protection software that protect PC from crash, it always eat a lot of memory resource. But well I will use non branded PC to convert movie, seems they are more stable than branded one.
