7. Is there an easy way to mod the avs file (or anything) to use a different deinterlace filter? (I prefer smart deinterlace with custom settings for TV capture content, don’t need it explained just wonder if it was possible).

1. Do you need to set a new "Profile" for each rip if its Q'd?(The thing on the bottom right of every page)?
No - that's only for saving and loading profiles, and there for convenience. You can use it for presets with some general preferences, such as encoding many episodes of a TV series, or to reload the defaults.
2. When ripping with Xvid 1.1.2 do you have to set the bitrate in the Xvid settings?
No. The only change you have to make from default is the profile, which can be set to unrestricted.
3. Do you have to set it in the calc (lenght, frame rate ect)?
Also no.
4. Is there a way to veriy the settings set in the Xvid setting after they are set? (example: "Overflow control strength")
It should remain at your setting until you change it, so when you re-enter the setup it should display your last settings.
5. If I Q more than one thing does the last setting I set in Xvid override the first/last?
No. Changes made to XviD setup only affect the current and future jobs - any already queued will use the settings that were in place at the time they were entered into queue.
6. Is there a good way after running a compressablity test to set the "Overflow treatment" properly?
I don't know on that one - I don't use the compressability test.
7. Is there an easy way to mod the avs file (or anything) to use a different deinterlace filter?
Yes, instead of clicking "Save and encode," just click "Save," at which point you can modify the .avs, after which you can click "Save and encode."
