View Full Version : I can't install Avisyth as it says I need Administrator rights!

It's my PC, my user is an administrator, and I've also tried logging in as the Adminstrator but it just won't let me install it! I've tried the Avisyth packaged with AutoGK 3.40 and also the standalone version of 2.5.6.

Does anyone know how I can get round this? I've also tried running the program as administrator but it still says the same.

You are not the only one. It also fails for me. I have tried my normal (with admin privledges) account, the defaul Administrator account and have created a few new accounts with admin privledges, all to no avail. Avisynth claims I must have admin privledges to intsall it (I am certain I do) and that it can not write to the registry.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I think I found the answer to the problem here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=119917).

Thanks! That worked! Installed on my laptop ok.

Now I just need to work out why AutoGK keeps stopping on my desktop conversions due to the log file being 'in use'!
