How to Bypass Intel Wallpaper and go to BIOS?

Hi

My motherboard (Intel D101GGC) has been programmed to start with an Intel wallpaper while booting, and then the second booting screen comes (listing of drives etc). Pressing [F1] or [Del] does not cause any deviation of this.

How do I visit the BIOS?

Try F2...
The ESC key when the wallpaper is displayed should also visualize the POST screen...

F2 doesn't work.
Esc doesn't work.
And, of course, my keyboard is fully functional...

This is probably a custom BIOS for OEMs.
remove the case panels, take note of the MB brand and model, search on the internet the manufacturer website, get a standard (and possibly newer) BIOS and flash it (oh... dont forget the panels:p).

F10, F11, F12, in fact almost all of the function keys can get OEM systems into their BIOS. You may or may not be able to flash up the board to a non OEM version, but be very careful doing so!

Not such a good idea to do it with brittish weather outside threatening a power outage.

THE REPORT IS HERE

1. I press the POWER button. Intel wallpaper comes on. I tap <TAB>. I wait for the wallpaper to go away and arrival of the first boot screen which will say "Press F2 to enter BIOS". It doesn't come; the second boot screen arrives, and, following that, Windows. So it's a failure.

2. I press the POWER button. Intel wallpaper comes on. I tap <TAB>. I keep on tapping it for the wallpaper to disappear and arrival of the first boot screen which will say "Press F2 to enter BIOS". It doesn't come; the second boot screen arrives, and, following that, Windows. So it's a failure.

3. I press the POWER button. Intel wallpaper comes on. I tap <TAB> once. Then I tap <F2> and keep on tapping it for the wallpaper to disappear and arrival of the first boot screen which will say "Press F2 to enter BIOS". It doesn't come; straightaway the BIOS appears. Ha Ha Ha. Hit the jackpot!

So, the long and short of it is: as soon as the INTEL wallpaper comes on, tap <TAB> once. Then immediately tap <F2> and keep on tapping it; straightaway the BIOS will appear.
