Question - 1Gb Chunks

How do you keep a movie all together so that it doesnt break down into Gig chunks? Will I be able to put it on my computer or will it be too big?

But is the problem there? My file splitting is turned off on Decrypter. I think the problem is with RI4M

Are you sure the File Splitting is turned off in File Mode?

1) Have you tried starting DVD Decrypter DIRECTLY (not from within "RipIt4Me") and altrering the settings?

2) Is your disc drive in NTFS or FAT32 format?

Setarip_old is correct. Look at FAQ 27 (http://www.ripit4me.org/faq.html#faq27). RipIt4Me will change it to By File temporarily.

well my dvd decrypter settings all have file splitting turned off. I tried using it all by itself but at about 93%, i "run out of space." So now I tried RI4M and it puts 1 gig chunks into dvd decrypter

So it does. I forgot about that. Sometimes people like to make it into one big chunk so it is easier to convert to .avi. Maybe it might be possible to put in a hidden .ini entry that will let you keep that setting?

I'm a noob and that last part made no sense to me. I do want it in one big chunk though, I did understand that.:)

IF it's NTSF, and you are actually running out of hard drive space, using "RipIt4me" won't resolve that. You simply have to free up some hard drive space by emptying your "Recycle Bin" and/or deleting unneeded files...

RipIt4Me won't help you obviously. It seems to be very intent on following the DVD spec, which calls for 1Gb maximum (due to filesystem specs).

Without hard drive space to recombine the files after ripping, you might be out of luck.

How do I find that out?If you mean whether the drive is formatted as NTFS or FAT32, perhaps the simplest way is to load a DVD into DVD Decrypter (with the "log" window displayed) and read the first few lines of the log...

It appears that your drive is NTFS-formatted (No FAT32 "warnings"). Therefore, it would seem that you're simply running out of hard drive space and, as I said earlier:

So what you're saying is that I don't need ripi4me? i jut need to use decrypter with more free space? Well I don't have room on this computer so I probably won't finout if that works until Sunday. Thank you very much

No, that's not what setarip_old said. He said, you need more hard disk space (unless you are really proficient at IFO mode). And you have indicated you don't have this.

Try ripping on another computer and using the dos copy/b command to combine them.
