The more i read the more confused i get. I think i have all the correct programs i require but i dont know how to get them to work in a way that actually produces a working copy. :confused:

I want to copy some data dvd's (not movie), and i think i need to use an ISO program to do that, but i am not sure. One is single layer the other is dual layer, both are copy protected. I have UltraISO, IsoBuster, DVD Decrypter, Any DVD, Clone DVD, DVDFabPlat, DVDFab Decrypt, and imgburn, DVD shrink, (at least i can say i have tried!). From reading I am pretty sure that the answer is in the ISO type programs, but nothing i do works quite right. The more i try the more jumbled and confused i get, as i dont understand the some of the programs very well. Some say to boot from the DVD, others say to put on hard disk first etc etc. aarhhhhhhhhh!:(

Can someone please tell me how i go about this or point me to the correct post here that has the answer? This is driving me nutz, i have so many programs installed and uninstalled, i think even my computer is getting sick of me trying to solve this. thank you if you can assist :)

Hi!

Since you say you have DVD Decrypter (hopefully, it's the fuinal release, v.3.5.4), if you haven't already done so, try setting the mode to "ISO" and select "ISO Read" to rip the DVD to your hard drive. Then select "ISO Write" to burn (or use "IMGBurn" to burn)...

If it's an unprotected DVD (not a PC game), you only need to copy the files to your hard drive and then burn them, or use a program like Nero or Roxio which will walk you through the process of creating a disk image, then burning it to a new disk. All of the programs you've listed above are for use with video DVD's. DVD Decrypter is the only one that will work with a data DVD, and only in .ISO mode as setarip_old stated.

@CWR03

Apparently, you overlooked this statement by "Vibzzz":One is single layer the other is dual layer, both are copy protected.
