I searched this forum a few weeks ago as I was having problems with audio synch and avi files. I started to use rip it 4me and all that jazz and everything was going great. I however encontered a rip that was out of synch with the audio so I went to use media player classic only to find that if the audio was in synch in one spot is was out of synch in another. I am using gknot with nandub. If anyone has a tips I would greatly appreciate it

Peace davev205:thanks:

Hi, welcome to the forum. :)

Does the audio :
gradually move further and further out of sync,
in sync up to a point and then consistently out of sync by the same amount for the rest of the movie, or
in and out of sync with no discernable pattern

Thanks for the welcome:)

The file seems to have no dicernable pattern.

Hi!

What is the specific Title and Region of the DVD that yielded this inconsistent asynchronous result?

Its actually a Criterion Collection edition of "the Killers" More specifically it is the first disc which is the 1946 version. All Criterion Collection Discs are all Regions. This one as well. The first Part of the first VOB is an interview with a director so the movie starts in the middle of the first VOB. But if that was the problem I would have expected at least that the interview was in synch but no luck the whole thing varies tremendously. I hope that helps you fiqure it out becuase it does not help me

Is the DVD rip out of synch, or does that only occur after you've used GKnot?

It happened after I used Gknot The dvdrip is fine:confused:

Then you've eliminated "RipIt4Me" as a possible cause of the asynchronous result...
