My DVD writer suddenly does not detect any audio CDs, VCDs or DVDs.

It can however, burn audio/video CDs/DVDs..

Any1 can help?

Could it be a registry problem?

Did you use a tweak tool to turn off insert notifications? The OS needs these to update the drive list when something's inserted. (Totally separate from autorun.)
