How to Add sharpness to My XviD Rips?

Firstly Hi everybody. I am sorry if i am posting in da wrong section. I use MeGUI for encoding my dvds to XviD. But my videos only lacks sharpness. How can i add sharpness to my XviD conversions through MeGUI? Or is there any other better software for converting from Dvd to XviD in which i can add sharpness to da videos or rips? Thanks.

Yes. You could've searched first before asking.

SeeSaw is great, just make sure you get the correct script - it's at the end of the SeeSaw thread. Earlier versions had a nasty bug.

I also like LimitedSharpenFaster (LSF). If you're going to sharpen, you usually have to do some denoising too, so learn about denoising. :search: again, and look into fft3dfilter (and it's DirectX9c GPU acclerated cousin fft3dgpu), SPresso, RemoveGrain, and hqdn3d. Just some suggestions

Possibly looking at it from the other side: More bitrate and a sharper matrix. One of the low % xvid presets, like 30% or 45% for instance.

And from me another vote to use another (custom) matrix. Using appropriate matrices and works wonders, for both the cases where you go with higher bitrate, and the cases where you'll use lower bitrate.

Can anybody send me some scripts which they created using da see saw plugin. They will work like examples for me so that i could learn these wonderful thing. Can somebody also send me da custom matrix settings. Plz. I downloaded MaskTools-v1.5.8 and removegrain from da see saw thread. The plugins in da removegrain.rar file have to be placed in avisynth plugins folder but where must i place da contents of da MaskTools-v1.5.8.rar file? Help would be really appreciated. Thanks guys.

All avisynth plugins (with a few exceptions, like fft3d.dll) should be placed in the plugins folder. Btw, there's a beta version of masktools that includes lsf (that's LimitedSharpenFaster) which can be obtained Here (http://manao4.free.fr/masktools-v2.0a30.zip).
Note: If you encounter problems trying to load an avisynth script, try renaming "mt_masktools.dll" to "masktools.dll". :)
