Hi, I'm trying to embed subtitles into avi file.
I can do that with virtualDubMod and xvid codec. However I unInstalled the Xvid codec since it mess with segment viewing of another program I have DVD-RB.

So I tried encode the avi file with ffdshow, but I get an error in virtualdubMod any Idea how to do this with out having to install Xvid codec ?

Open the ffdshow vfw settings (from start menu or compression box of vdub) and look at decoders, codecs. You should enable as many as you'll need.

I just saw there a virtualDubMod forum and thought it might fit there. Any way, there just no way encoding ffdshow (libavcodec) with virtualdubmod, I'll guess I'll do it with Xvid when I need and uninstall the Xvid codec when done..
