The previous version of CCE or DVD-RB?

HC encoder 19.0.1

Just so I understand... you ran a job with DVD-RB/HC (v0.19.1) and it didn't work, then replaced HC with v0.19 and it worked?

That's interesting, especially considering that neither of the changes documented for v0.19.1 would appear to have that kind of effect. They're really quite minor.

You might want to try reinstalling v0.19.1 and trying again. It could possibly have been just a corrupt source.

No.No
I went back from 1.204 PRO to 1.121 PRO,which version of HC each version runs I don't know.1.121 works with HC v.0.19.0.1;I think the 1.204 has the same version, but I'm not shure.I'm confused too.

This may or may not help you but . . . If you are doing any CPU Overclocking . . .

While I have been dealing with computers, both software and hardware professionally for 18 years, I have been out of the "hobbiest" PC building for many years, and just recently got back into building home PC's.

My PC at home is an AMD 939 4800+ with a DFI motherboard, and I have been trying to find out the upper limit of trying to "Overclock" my PC, yet still be a stable, accurate PC.

There are a lot of tools to test accuracy and stablity (Prime95, Memtest86+ etc) and I would use these tools, but my FINAL TEST was to use DVD-RB-PRO with HC encoder.

I would find that if there was ANY instablity at all, DVD-RB-PRO with HC encoder would freeze up my pc, and running the same exact system at a lower speed, (no software changes at all) the freezing would go away.

I could surf the internet all day, and check my e-mail at much higher clock speeds, but 5 minutes into a DVD-RB-PRo session, my pc would lock up solid.

Like I said, this may or may not be your situation, but if you are doing any Overclocking, temporally bring your PC down to SPEC speeds, and do a DVD-RB-PRo with HC encoder and see if still freezes up on you.

To add to that, CCE is renown for not liking OC'ing either. Thanks to SiKKo's help, I am OC'ing my 3800+ X2 by 25% (could go higher I am sure) with Procoder 2 without any problems at all.

:goodpost: I can 100% confirm this with my own experiences.

I haven't tested that much with newer HC versions and there are some more OC'ing forgiving older HC versions, but I'ld recommend too to check with HC encoder, if people tell you they have a "rock solid" PC. ;)

@blutach
I usually have no problems with CCE, Procoder or AutoQMatEnc but with HC encoder I have to lower my FSB.

My PC don't freezes, just HC encoder, and it works fine on versions previous to 1.204.In fact it behaves like it's doing something;% bar stays at zero.

Is it possible you are (or were) using one of the earlier versions of DGDECODE rather than v1.4.5 (like v1.1.0)? That has been known to demonstrate that behaviour when the right set of conditions are met.

The version of HC included in the installer is the same in v1.12.1 and 1.20.4. I went through all the changes made for that version, and I don't see anything that could be linked to that behavior. I also haven't received any other reports of problems with HC...

Have you tried v1.20.4 more than once?

Yes,I've used it only once and replaced it right away.I'll give it another try for sure, just don't know how soon.
