DVD to Mpeg 1,2,4? [Archive]

I'm trying to rip some DVD's that I own to another format. The ultimate goal is to get them on my Ipod. I have DVDShrink, Adobe Premiere Elements and a fantastic Digital Media Conversion program, but I can't seem to get it right.

I've tried ripping from the DVD, but then it's in multiple parts. Where do I go from here? Will I need to manually piece them together in an editor? Thanks.

with dvddecrypter you should be able to rip to one vob only, and also include only audio tracks you want

I use dvd to ipod converter (http://www.soft29.com/how-to/convert-transfer-dvd-to-ipod.html) to convert movie for iPod because it seems easier to use.
